Individual Awards
Each year, BOMA Miami-Dade recognizes outstanding members who exemplify leadership, professional growth, industry engagement, and community impact. These awards honor activity and accomplishments from the previous year, not lifetime service.
Awards are presented across multiple categories:
- Property Manager (3–10 Years)
- Property Manager (10+ Years)
- Assistant Property Manager
- Associate Member
- Engineer (1–2 Staff)
- Engineer (3+ Staff)
What you need to know to nominate!
Award Purpose
These awards celebrate members who:
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Invest in their professional growth through education, designations, and licensing
- Support their teams and contribute to the success of their properties
- Participate actively in BOMA educational programs and events
- Give back to the community through volunteerism or charitable initiatives
Who is eligible?
- Nominee must be a BOMA Miami-Dade member in good standing
- Nominations may be submitted by another member or through self-nomination
Judging
All submissions will be reviewed and scored by a panel designated by BOMA Miami-Dades TOBY Choice Event Chairs.
Submission Requirements
All submissions must be completed online and include:
1. Contact Information
- Nominee name, company, address, and phone
- Contact information for the nominator (including email)
2. Written Responses
Provide written descriptions addressing the criteria below. Points are assigned to each category:
Professional Accomplishments & Activities
Contributions that furthered the individual’s professional growth, building operations, ownership objectives, or team development. (1–15 points)
Support for BOMA Members
Principal Members: Consideration and engagement of Associate Members for contracts and opportunities (1–10 points)
Associate Members: Sponsorship and support of BOMA programs and activities (1–10 points)
Leadership Skills A demonstration of leadership, including a letter from the local association describing specific examples. (1–10 points)
Team Support Engagement with and contributions to their local team or organization. (1–15 points)
Participation in BOMA Cite specific involvement: events, education programs, committees, and local/regional/international participation. (1–15 points)
Community Contribution Volunteerism, charitable involvement, and measurable community impact. (1–15 points)
Education (Property Managers & Engineers Only)

- Enrollment in RPA, SMA, or FMA programs with at least one course completed (1–10 points)
- Achievement of RPA, SMA, FMA, SMT, or CPM designations (1–15 points)
